3 Steps To Help You Stop The Diet Cycle!

Step #1.: Prevent it in the first place!

Tell me if this sounds familiar to you, this cycle.

So you start your diet, you’re gung-ho, you’re ready, you have everything planned out, right? You know what you're going to do and your fitness program and your meals are all planned out and off you're off to go.

Boom, you're dieting!

In the first 4-5 days, of course you lose a few pounds pretty quickly in those first few days because you've cut your calories down and you're adding exercising. You're off to good start.

But then, around 10 to 14 days  in, that is where the nutrient deficient kicks in. You guys have heard of the RDA, right? Also known as the recommended daily allowance.

So if you flip something over, any food or drink item, on the back it says "recommended daily allowance" based on a 2,000 calories a day diet, right? Well if you're dieting, you're probably not even getting those 2,000 calories. You're probably cutting it down to maybe 1,200 or 1,500 AND on top of that you're exercising.

It's almost impossible to cut your volume of calories without subsequently cutting your volume of nutrients.

That's where people fail because around 10-14 days it catches up with them. The nutrient deficiency kicks in, your body is screaming for more nutrients and that comes across in our minds and in our bodies as "cravings."

All cravings are, are our bodies way of saying, "I need more x, y, and z." So now, you're tired because you're trying to do more with less nutrition which leads you to become irritable, grouchy, and you just don't feel real good anymore.

That's where this blue phase comes in, the temptation and frustration where you feel like you just want to give up. Now everything smells really good. You're two weeks into it and you're like, "this kind of sucks - I'm not having any fun, I'm tired, and I feel miserable."

So what do you do? You go out with your friends who are all eating chicken wings and pizza so you're like, "to heck with this! I'm eating that because I'm miserable and I deserve it!"

Then you gorge on food and end up feeling guilty.

Now, you're like, "I suck. This is what happens to me every time! I do so great but then I feel crappy so I just give in!" So then you decide, "I'll start next Monday!"

Am I right!?

This^^ is why people go into that cycle! It's because they're nutrient deficient.

If your body was getting all the nutrients it needs, your cravings would go away, you would have more energy, you would feel better, you would do more, and your body would recover faster so weight loss would just become a byproduct of good nutrition.

But with that cycle we're doing it backwards!

We cut all the calories, we cut all nutrition and ask our bodies to do more and wonder why we feel miserable!

No one is going to stick to something they feel miserable doing, right!?
